Goswami was a renowned Homeopathic Doctor with the rare qualification of
BACHELOR OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE INJECTION AND SURGERY
and migrated to Singua with a group of the Goswami family (Dwarika Nath, Khetro
Mohan, Makhon, Pramod, Bolai Goswami and many more). With the co ordination
of Shri Subol Das, Mr Leelamay Das, a good friend of my father arranged a UDAI-
OSTHO SONKIRTON.

My father had an all rounder personality and was a music lover. He was a
good singer and had good hand in Mridongo, dhoolak, Harmonium etc.

An important mela in Mokam Tilla was Chouddo Madol. In 1967, 14
Mridongo players came together to display their Mridongo Badan and that is what it
is named after. (Mridongo also known as MADOL, and the 14 players). Next year
along with sonkirton, a Mela with traditional activities, and an exhibition of local
products also started.

We were lucky to grow up in that environment and now feel proud to hear
that our talented youth are going to enhance the same in all respect. Also feel proud
to hear about Son Beel Utsav to be conducted which will definitely be heard of and
make its place in the cultural map of India.
